LIPOPHOBIA DANGEROUS FOR BABY'S HEALTH

Baby has grown up! No more feedings ( unfortunately for some ), the first teeth are starting to show, and your little wolf seems impatient to discover a semi-solid and diversified diet! Undertaking dietary diversification requires a lot of attention and care when choosing foods. His digestive system is not yet mature, he discovers a multitude of flavors, and his nutritional needs are proportionally much greater than those of an adult. A baby is not a miniature adult, he needs a suitable diet at least until 3 years old.

A diet adapted to Baby inevitably requires fat intake adapted to his needs. Because contrary to what many parents may think, babies need good fat to grow well.

STUDIES CONVERGE

The latest studies (Nutri-Bébé SFAE 2014, Inserm 2014) published on infant nutrition are alarming! At the time of dietary diversification, 80% of babies are deficient in fat. This rate even rises to 92% among children between 1 and 2 years old. Our children are literally deprived of fat!!
Researchers explain this phenomenon by “ lipophobia ” (fear of fat), which pushes parents to remove fat from their children's plates from a very young age. A fear of fat for which the food industry is responsible (fear of obesity and cardiovascular diseases and above all ignorance of the role of good fat) and which it is essential to correct.
Until dietary diversification, no worries! Since breast milk (and most infant formulas) is rich in good fats, Baby has adequate intakes of Omega-3 and DHA DHA (the long-chain Omega-3 of the brain). But at the time of dietary diversification, Baby begins to eat something other than breast milk ( or infant milk ), without consuming foods rich in Omega-3 and DHA, essential fatty acids very little present in our diet ( fish, flax, nuts, lamb's lettuce, etc. ). Rare nutrients that are nevertheless essential for baby's good development. Its intake of Omega-3 and DHA therefore falls naturally, with significant consequences on its development and future health.

GIVING BABY GOOD FAT IS ESSENTIAL!

A baby needs 3 times more lipids than an adult in proportion to their body weight. Around 1 year old, Baby's brain has already reached 2/3 of its adult size. It is the most developed organ, the engine of its development. When we know that all cells are made up of lipids, and that the brain is made up of more than 50% fats, mainly Omega-3 and DHA, we understand the importance of ensuring that Baby does not not missing . And if these 2 nutrients are called “ essential ” it is because the body does not know how to produce them. It is therefore necessary to provide them with a suitable diet rich in good fats .
But not all oils are equal. Few of them contain the famous Omega-3 and contrary to popular belief, olive oil is not one of them!
You must therefore choose your oils carefully and vary them so that Baby can benefit from the virtues of each. You must also ensure that your baby consumes fatty fish , naturally rich in DHA, the brain's omega-3.
Ideal to make your life easier, today there are all-in-one oil blends, made by health experts and perfectly adapted to the nutritional needs of Baby and then Child.
